ironmanfive,we need some pics or something. The bike is likely a 95 or 96 maybe 97 vintage. We like how they look too :o so you are preaching to the converted!
Welcome to the site. What speciffically do you want to know

Hi Ironmanfive!
I've got an XP-X here in the UK, (owned it since brand new), as you may know it's a late model 856 (1997) with hopefully all of the frame improvement "tweaks" that they identified on the 855/856 incarnations.
see my previous ramblings on this:

(Although I have seen an XP-6 with a "through" hole in the seat tube for canti's. I thought these frames were never used on the XP's, what's your's got Orange?)
Did you buy this one?

If it doesn't say on the frame and you can't do a picture, you can possibly identify it from the frame colour:
Red frame and Blue swing arm & Blue Vector = XP-X

Orange/Gold Frame & Black swing arm & Silver? Vector = XP-8
Orange/Gold Frame & Black swing arm & Black? Vector = XP-6
