I have been a member of this forum for almost 4 years. Well, over a year and a half ago, I discovered that I was no longer able to post on this forum, or even read this forum. It appeared that my IP address was being refused admittance by this site's server. After checking with the webmaster of idriders.coma and the owner (sorry I can't remember his name) I found out that I had not been blacklisted or anything, by him (and nor did I do anything to deserve that). The owner of this website actually tried helping me to get back on, first through emails, and then a couple of very long telephone calls. We tried everything and finally gave up.
Mind you, after being on the internet for 12 years, this is the first time that this has ever happened to me, ever, when trying to visit countless website I that require membership. And I am a heavy user.
Last week, I got a new ISP because they (Verizon) are offering 15mb/sec downloads via fiber optic to my house for only $44/month. So now I have a new I.P. address... and NOW, I am FINALLY able to log on to this forum again.
When you decide to go against the prevailing wisdom of buying a new Prophet, Yeti, Titus, FSR, or Cake, but instead, ride a vintage plastic bike like my 5500, it sure is nice to have this support group available to you. So I missed this forum very very much.
I want to thank my good cyber-friend Simon, for sometimes posting questions on here for me and being my one and only contact with the Proflex/K2 community. He answered questions for me when I had no place else to turn.
So let this be a lesson to everyone...... don't take this forum for granted. One day, you might try to log on, and it might not be possible to do so (for a myriad of reasons).
I want to share with you all my webpage about my K2 5500:

the person who was helping me to try to get back on this website, the owner or the webmaster of this site, was it you Kiwi?..... that person checked my IP address earlier this year, when I was having the problem, and my IP address was not a banned one. Which is what puzzled us, AND which prevented us from finding a solution. we both just gave up. life went on.
Just for the record, I hate spammers more than anyone, and am not one, and am glad that there is such a program in place. I think that happened to me will forever remain a mystery. Sure am glad it is behind me.

I'm in the same boat you used to be in. I can't get on from home, but I can from work. I just gave up from home. I think verizon FIOS is blocking me from getting to this site. I should call them up and ask why I can't get to this site from home.
-
that can't be the problem, because switching TO Verizon Fios is what solved my problem.
How do you like Fios? what part of the country are you in. Because this is off topic, you might want to PM me. I really like FIOS, but I have noticed one glitch in it. so PM me.

This is the first time I have been able to get on in a long time as well.
Glad to be back.
My 955 is still going, the 855 is a ghost under the house. But the best thing was watching my mate restore a 957 and finally race it today.
So, anyone find a bottomless supply of Noleen NR4's while I'be been gone??
