Getting desperately frustrated with not being able to ride my newly built 856... I've been waiting 10 years to get one...!
Anyway, the rear elastomer's shot & I can't seem to get hold of RDS to find out when they might have the replacement springs back in... So I'm in need of anything to do the job:- complete shock / new elastomers(!) / new spring...
Also, I've currently built it up with some old skool judys, but they don't really do it for me.
So whatyagot?!
Cheers :)

Ziggy,
Just got off the phone with Tom B. at Ironhorse.
I ordered front elastomers for my front fork. $30 for the set.
They only have rear elastomers for a 120 pound rider weight left. So I am going to shove a noleen spring on the rear ODS shock. It is a 300lb spring weight.
Wish me luck,
Terry

Good luck! :)
I'm around 150lbs, so I guess I'm just out of luck there... To be honest I'd probably prefer a complete new shock anyway, but I've no idea where to find one. An RDS spring would do fine, if I could get hold of one...
I'd also ideally like a pair of crosslinks, but I'd probably take any linkage fork, or anything else lightweight (sid etc) for that matter.

I'm just as frustrated and also waited 10 years to get my 856. Its ridable but only just, and I want the proper Pro Flex experience.
Still waiting for RDS to get back to me, Callums probably out on some crackin track in Scotland. I'm speaking with a British company at the moment regarding replacement elastomers. They might size them to fit an ODS, don't know yet. Will let you know buddy.

Thanks Lewis :)
At least I'll be pretty fast when I finally get it sorted - I've got the GT set up with some Jr-Ts, big tyres etc & it's blimmin hard work actually going anywhere!
The poor old Orange (that I've had since I was at school!) hasn't got a look in recently - I'm enjoying full sus too much (got both new frames at the same time...), but I'm sure the novelty will wear off - pretty quickly if I don't get on something lighter than the GT!

Really don't think I could bring myself to do that - it's been my baby for too long! All my money went on it (until pubs & cars came along) back in the day, it's pretty battered now, but holding up just fine :)
