Hi chaps, we`ve just got back from France, and rode every day. The French people seem well puzzled/ impressed with the bikes. As if they know there good bikes but not sure what they are.
on my first trip with the XPX to see the eclipse in 1999 the owner of the bike shop in Lamballe (Brittany) shut the shop and crossed the road and poked around the bike a bit and got all exited took me back accross to his shop to show me he sold Magura brakes, funny thing was I could`nt see any mountain bikes only road ones.
Next trip was to the 2004 tour de France Ali (Mrs Tel) took her coppi campionissimo, I thought they would love that, instead they looked all over the XPX and at all my carbon toys.
This time with two Proflexs 857 in grape and my old XPX we really wowed em`.
I`m just such a bike tart, one day I`ll do it properly and get a carbon.
Cheers, Tel.
