Title: Rear Shock for 97 Beast Xc version
Post by: Matt_Woo on July 29, 2006, 08:35:42 am
Hi

I realise this probably has been discussed before, but I'm looking to upgrade my original rear shock on my 97 pro flex beast. I see noleen mentioned in places, but do fox have anything appropriate and what size tech spec would I be looking for??

Cheers.

this has been dixcussed many times. There are lots of guys here who use after market shocks on their strut style bikes. All you have to do is to use a shock with an eye to eye length shorter than 210 mm and then use an adapter to bridge the gap from the eys to the strut cone. The overall length of the adapter will be the differene ot the eye to eys length of the shock you use and 210mm.Unfortunately our gallery is down a the moment there are pics there.I suggest you search our site for "adapters" Pot any quereies I am sure you will get some speciifc replies.

a decent upgrade would be a risse from http://www.risseracing.com/proflex.shtml They make three shocks and are made to fit the 9-style struts.

Sadly CVI are no more - they went out of business around April this year.
