I have read all or many of the posting dealing with the 855 - here is my question. Where can i find a replacment part. Yes i am dealing with Ironhorsebikes via email now but can any one tell me if they make a after market replacement for the swing arm or does any one know of a repair facality that can rebuild such. Or does any one have one for sale? The bike is in grand condition other then the sproket side attachment point of the swing arm is broken - i have pictures but do not know how to add it to this posting, :( and yes i clicked insert image but no results or it did not work. Yes, old but a newbie to the site.

I am sure a competent welder will be able to repair it,otherwise it will prolly be cheaper to buy a whole"new" bike off ebay yhan a new swigarm.AFAIK
a x56 swingarm will also fit your bike.I dont know if there are diffrerent s/arm for different sizes

Thank you for the quick reply, could you clearify one thing for me, sorry but i could not understand. is the name of the replacement swing arm you are suggesting this "AFAIK-X56" Or was the AFAIK the product name or bike manufactures name, here i am not certain as to what you meant and sorry for my poor understanding.

The only s/arm that you can fit is the one from
an 855 or a 856/XPX models,
there are no after market options,
I suspect (correct me if I'm wrong) the pivot point has broken in the area of the pinch bolt clamp ???
I've seen this before,I think some have a tendency to
over tightening this and putting unnecessary stress on this area,
anyway I've seen successfull repairs to this and this
is your best bet.

Pix would be nice.
Weld it, and if you are near Simon, ask him for a sealed bearing conversion. All I can say is the conversion is amazingly smooth and worth it [smiley=nod.gif]. If ya live close to me, I would weld it for ya, but no conversion. :(
Keep an eye on ebay for orphaned frames or swingarms.
Keep an eye on the swing arm mount also. Many of them (x56)have a hole topside and tend to crack. [smiley=diaper.gif] When they do and I weld it, I close the hole too if the rider wants.
