Anyone have any experience with Strata Shocks (why is their name Stratos, but the web address is Strata...?) or know anything regarding reliability, tunability, etc. They can be seen on the 755 images below? The Stratos website did not list this model or show any pictures or manuals of them.
You might need to go to my gallery to see the images in more detail.

Yes I have one on my Orange X1 and am currently having an adapter made so it'll fit to my 857. It won't be as good as in the pictures you've shown there but that's the nature of retro-fitting!
I've had the shock for 10 years now, it's had some very heavy use and I have never had it serviced once!!! It's still going strong. There is a remote lock-out function which basically increases the damping progressively until virtual (but not complete) lockout is achieved. You can also adjust the amount of air in them to change the spring rate. I was told to go by 1 lb/square inch for every pound you weigh e.g. if you are 180 lbs then pump in 180lbs/sq inch.
It cost me £250 10 years ago and by the fact that it still works I guess means good value for money.
When I mentioned this shock to the people at CVI they scoffed a bit, but I have no complaints anyway!
