Title: Pro~flex has risen from the ashes
Post by: rapiddescent on May 28, 2006, 09:57:23 am
I was at the World Mountain Bike Championships this weekend in Scotland.  fantastic event - but here is the stunning news:

I saw a black truck with Pro~flex USA written on the side in the same red text with the wee yellow squiggle.  I nearly fell out of my tree.  Proflex are back.

Anyway that was the good news.  The bad news is that it seems that a catalynian team (a territory in northern Spain) have bought the name and are using it.  The bikes weren't full suspension and there wasn't an MCU in sight.  The bikes looked like MMC - or perhaps had amazing welding.

Sadly I couldn't get any detail from them because they didn';t speak english and I can't speak spanish!

I have photos and will post them up tomorrow once I find my digital camera!

There's been a few posts from Spain here about that recently, seems a shame if they're just using the great innovative name to sell an average bike.

This was one of them:

yeah i suppose the name was available or a trademark dried up. lots of things are named pro~flex but not such a blatant rip of the logo.

anyway, Callum have you seen this bike?
