Title: Fork upgrade

Any thoughts on replacing my Girvin Vector on a 756 with a Marzocchi MX Comp with ETA?  Thank you.

What else could I say?
The Vector was a damn good fork its time.
But nowadays? No. The modern forks are so good.

Be sure the steerer is the same size (1 1/8 ") like all modern forks have and forget the rest.

More travel, better performane and so on and so on .....
I swoped my girvin elite (3" travel) on my 5000 with a RS Psylo (5" travel)
Result?
Beautifull!!!!!!!!!!!! What a difference!!!

And next think abaout changing your rear shock!

would a 120mm fork not upset the balance of the bike? i would have thought for a 756 you would be better off with 100mm max, ive just put some manitou black comps 90mm-120mm on my oz and im very impressed and to be perfectly honest i wouldnt put the same fork on my xpx cos i think 120mm on the front would be too much for the kind of riding i do.

Yes. Stay at or below 100mm for that frame if you like your bike to feel balanced. (I've seen a Junior T on one before though... YIKES!)

Yes, 4 inches is as much as the top tube and downtube can handle before they overstress.
