You guys saved my marriage! I nearly bought a new cannondale until I found this web site and decided to tune up the old 756! Anyway, I have an xpert shock on the rear and a noleen/girvin vector on the front. I am considering replacing the front fork. What are your thoughts and how should I do it? I need info on what fork to buy and tube size. Thank you!

I'd stick to a 100mm travel fork
with 1 1/8" steerer,
make and model may depend on your budget ???
there's not really any bad forks out there these days
so depending on your budget look at
Fox
Pace
Magura
Marzocchi
Rockshox
Manitou
etc may of missed a make or to,
research a model from these makes that would suit your needs.
Simon.

Agree with the above - don't go over 100mm on this frame. Also, the Manitou Mars is a great, lightweight fork. But then, I'm a little biased towards Manitou forks. I love my 100mm X-verts! (I have 2)...
