Title: Rear Suspension Knock on 856
Post by: ameybrook on April 19, 2006, 05:00:17 am
Hi, I just upgraded my old 856 with new elastomers purchased from Iron Horse, but there's a noticeable knock in the rear end when the suspension gets loaded up.  Its sounds and feels like its bottoming out, but I doubt it since the elastomers are brand new and I'm not that heavy.  Any ideas?

Have you got the right bushes at the top end as the bolt holding it all together can knock if loose.

Some early 856 ODS units suffered with a topout
clunk.
providing nothings loose then it could be an
internal knock in the damper unit.

Simon.
