Title: Anyone interested in a 757 frame?
Post by: Adam Lamberson on January 29, 2006, 05:38:41 pm
My windmill broke today. [smiley=doh.gif]It is going to cost a bit to get an electric water pump installed in my well. So some projects are going to have to go. [smiley=upset.gif] I am going to part with my 757 noleen rear shock good shape no cracks. I had started to strip the paint on it so it will have to be repainted or polished. I was going to have my bro-in-law paint it for me. I will get some pics of it. If you are interested email me @ admtwelve@yahoo.com

Hi Adam.

I'm interested in your frame.
Please state the size, send some pictures to me, price and tell me where you are.
You are just selling the frame, right? No fork, nothing else?
I'm in Portugal, so I must consider shipping.

Kind Regards, Ricardo.

I am sorry I didn't have pics until today. I paid $150.00 for it. I can't tell what size it is the decal has been removed. It only has the easton aluminum badge on it. I am 5'11'' w/ a 32 inch inseam, and it fit me fine. I had plenty of room. My brother in law rode it, and he is 6'2" w/ a 34 inch inseam, and it seemed to fit him to. I had about 28 or 29 inch standover. I would like to get what I paid for it, but it was not partially stripped when I bought. So If you make me an offer that seems fair taking the price of shipping into consideration, I will probably take it. I would just like to see it w/ some one who appreciates it. Here are the links to the pictures for it. One shows where I began stripping it w/ the bead blaster. The other items in that album are also for sale if anyone is interested.

I am sorry I live in Liberal, Ks 67901. I wasn't trying to be coy I was just bummed to be getting rid of it, and not thinking. But hey they mass produced em right? I'll get another. Anyone intersted let me know. I have it advertised on the dirt rag forum as well but would rather see it go to one of you guys.

Yes strut swing arm ,and shock. In the pic the shock is sitting on the frame on the down tube. The swingarm is black hanging behind it. I really think I need a new camera. Those pics are not so bueno.
I have been emailed an offer.

Hope no-one else got scammed by this guy. I sure did, but hey - I guess that's the price you pay for being nice to guests on here some times.

After several attempts, and his excuses about WHY he didn't send me out the frame yet - he just won't answer anymore. Live and learn.

:(  Steer clear of:

>Adam Lamberson<

*update. I've contacted this guy one last time, via the "Dirt Rag" forum, to see if he'll follow thru. I know everyone can be swamped at times - but this has been going on for a while. Sorry for the rant, I'll step down now.

sorry to hear that. I'm still waiting to hear if I can buy the 957 advertised on mtbr website, but the guy's taking an age with shipping costs. I'm thinking he's sold it to someone else now despite giving me first dibs... original post below...

Sorry to hear that Orange, hope it works out for you. I gave Adam - thinking he was in need - $100 for his junky 757, I was just being nice - Too nice I guess. Nothing to show for it.

wouldn't of bothered if I'd known sooner this is how
he treats some of us.
maybe we should have a sticky of those we should avoid dealing with  ???

Wankel I posted an apology on this forum. Please e-mail me your address, and I will send you your money back. I changed e-mail, and just assumed you had gotten it by now. I sent an LTS and set of wheels that seem to have suffered the same fate. I apologize again, and would like to make it right. I am not trying to scam you.

Does anyone know how to reach Wankel? I have not heard from him either on here or via email. My old email is no more so I don't have his address.
