Title: Way Off-topic but interesting local story.
Post by: jimbo on January 04, 2006, 10:09:31 am
I don't think this dude would be in the water if it was a tiger shark.  Most severe attacks in our waters have been attributed to Tigers.  I've seen sharks when I use to surf but nothing this big.  I'm sure I would have a big brown spot in my board shorts if I was in the water at the same time. I'm sorry, but that's just insanity! I know I would have stayed in the cage!

Nah, he was fiiiine. Seriously. Take a look at how FULL that shark is.  [smiley=laughing.gif] He must have eaten a cow before his appearance. [smiley=nod.gif] Jimmy knew what he was doin'.

/ sarcastic response, as I sit here with my feet crossed in my chair (afraid to touch the ground), vowing never to enter a pool again because of James Bond movies and thinking that that Jimmy guy is a freakin' lunatic!

17 FEET LONG! [smiley=blankstare.gif]

I don't think that puny cage would stand up to a shark that size if it got aggressive.  I would jump in the boat and run away.

Oh wait, that damm shark in "JAWS" chased them down.  That movie still gives me nightmares.

Yes INSANITY it is.

Guys is definitly nuts, or maybe just wants an extra close veiw of the sharks digestive system!
If anyone gets to Victoria, Australia you've got to check out a great white that was caught in phillip island. It's now in a big tank of fermaldihide, I think it's just over 20ft! (don't quote me on that!) giives you the hebygeebies just looking at it![smiley=diaper.gif]
It was cruising round the pier at phillip island in the 80's and they hooked it by chucking in a leg of beef in roped to a tractor!

Bull sharks killed a young woman on an island of eastern Australia Saturday. Sounds like the movie JAWS all over again. As she was being attacked off the beach, a lady screamed for everybody to leave the water. The woman later died in the hospital of her injuries.

Think I will stick to my bike.
