hi
im going to stip down my proflex beast and take a look at the condition of the main pivot bush (should be no wear as had little use but has stood still for a long long time)
Is it just a case of cleaning and then greasing the bush seals etc (are they ok to grease) and does anything spring out when you release the bolt or does it all slide apart, dont want any nasty surprises as may end up loosing bits.
Also as long as the pivot isnt sloppy (if anything feels abit stiff) and there arnt any wear marks or pitting of the bushes and seals is it just a case of clean grease and re-fit?

Don't worry its one of the easiest maintance jobs you can carryout, follow OP's jiffy lube instructions in the how to files if unsure,I use a good quality suspension lube (grease)from a bike shop, something from finishline, weldtite, rock n roll,or motorex should be fine.
Simon.
