:) I"ve seen a few posts here and elsewhere about grips that twist all the time so I though I'd report what looks like a solution.
I have Monkey Lite carbon bars and my grips twisted like crazy all the time. I was looking for an excuse to replace them so I just picked up a pair of Pedros Dice Lock-On Grips and they are completely stable under some serious use.
They have a collar at each end with a small headless screw that tightens the collar. The rubber is stiff enough that the middle doesn't seem to twist at all while the collars hold it in place. It would be nice if the grip was about an inch longer and maybe had a flare or stop on the inner end, but my first ride says they may be my answer to slippery grips!

I can make none slip grips with some normal grips and ultra small zip ties. I have never found the need to buy lock on grips with this technique. What I do is first see if the grips are sliding. If they are I take them off and clean them inside with rubbing alcohol. Wait until the alcohol is almost evaporated and slip them on to the bars. Take the zip ties and draw them tight around both ends using a pair of pliers. The secret is to hide the zip tie ratchet block (small box thing) on the underside of the bar and slightly forward. My fingers never hit them and find them to last a very long time. I believe the whole working principle behind this is to keep moisture out.
I was taught this technique by an old wise friend that used to ride dirt bikes.

My hafpipe grips are only 2 inches long. Wish I could find some lockons like those. They slip alot.
I remember in the old days of motocrossing, the deal was to clean the bar and inide of the grip and spray hairspray inside and slip them on. That was when the hair spray was flammable, and waterproof.

Ionit is right "onit"!
The micro zip tie is the only solution that works for me with my short grips next to the twist shifters.
... and I thought I was the only person who would stoop so low! Everytime the LBS guys see me, they shake their heads and ask what kind of cheap a$$ fix I'm trying to pull off. [smiley=groucho.gif]
Zip ties hold the world together!
