Title: carbon bike website
Post by: Thunderchild on November 06, 2005, 02:29:05 pm
This site was new to me and might be of interest.  There is a stock Oz picture on the site.  There is a picture of a Trimble upside down 4 frame also.  I would like to ride one of those, and own one if it rides well.

Yep, I ran accross this one too before. Has a pic of a Jamis El Diablo like I have (they even have x-links on the front of theirs like I did to mine). Pic of mine before I got started building it.: .http://idriders.com/cgi-bin/album_k2.pl?photo=Wankel/Jamis1999_El_Diablo.jpg

My Jamis is now sporting  Carbon legged x-links up front, still working on lacing up some spinergy wheels to finish it off.

How light is the Jamis eldiablo. I remember back when they where on showroom floors. They where marketed more towards the aggressive riders. Some how it seems like they are in the X-country category now.

You know, I never weighed JUST the frame. But, the way it sits right now it is at 24.5lbs (with XTR drivetrain, Fox air, Mavic's, Carbon x-links. etc.). If anything - I'm probably going to add a few oz.'s to it when I replace the current wheels to Spinergy's. I KNOW it could be a-lot lighter then it is now. Frame is VERY stiff. Rides real nice. But I feel like I'm riding a girls bike - hence why I'm building it for my wife ;).
