Title: A fallen brother
Post by: Thunderchild on November 05, 2005, 05:37:20 pm
Sit down and take a moment to prepare yourself.  Most likely you will offer a moment of silence.  One of our ever shrinking flock has met an untimely demise.  However, it was not a wimpy snuffing of a flame.  It went out in a blaze of glory in the fire mountains of Moab, UT.  See the following link.

I wonder if I can get a few spare parts???

 [smiley=disbelief.gif] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

BRUCE - i'm so very sorry to hear of this. The deepest and most sincere condolences from Frank (my bike) and myself are yours. We can hope it was quick and painless. Always the best way.

RIP.

Wow, another one bites the dust sacrificing his self to save his master.

Any one know when the funeral is?

Terry

...okay. Moment is up.

How much do you think he wants for the frame?
(Sheesh, glad he wasn't riding it, was he?)

BTW... what happened to that Miles Todd's bike. Wonder if it had X.0's?

Fondly,
The Gravedigger

Sorry guys for killing another K2. :-[
The portal trail in moab has a couple of places where you are right on the edge of the cliff, there are signs telling you to walk these areas.  I was just getting past the second spot and was straddling my bike getting ready to ride off and my front tire hung up on a rock and it started to endo on me I stepped off and turned to pick up my bike, but it fell just right and over the edge it went.
The front triangle survived without any damage, but the swing arm is toast.  I think we decided that this frame was a race team special.  No serial # on it and an omnium sticker on the swing arm.  The cable guides are a little different from the production frames, but the geometry is the same as the production large.
If the front triangle can help someone out let me know.
I picked up an EVO frame a while back, so I'm still on a K2.
