Title: bushings for vanilla RC
Post by: Phillip on April 23, 2003, 01:35:55 pm
What are the bushing dimensions for a Vanilla RC to mount on a Evo frame? Are they available from Fox or do they have to be custom mfg? Thanks for any suggestions.

You can get them from Fox.  They just need to know the width of the shock mount and the bolt size (which should be 6mm).  If they don't have the exact width, you can buy wider bushings and grind them down to size.   For my Disco Monkey they had the exact size for the lower mount, and I had to do some grinding to fit the upper bushings.  Very easy to do.

Fox phone is 800-369-7469.  Their service is quite fast.  I got my bushings in a few days.

Thanks. Does anyone know the width specifications for the bushings?

I've got them for my 5500 C if I can find them  I think the EVO and OZ frames are the same.

According to my measurements, the top is 31mm and the bottom is 24mm. Anyone concur? Fox sells a 23.9mm and a slightly larger than 31mm that can be filed down to fit.

what about couple washers, or would .1of mm would make any difference, its so thin that it should work without problem. What you think guys?

By the way how much fox bushings cost?

Thanks.

I don't think I'll have to shim the 23.9mm. .1mm is a pretty small distance. Fox sells a pair for $19 including shipping.
