Title: How did they change travel between the 5500 and Oz
Post by: 5500C on February 08, 2003, 04:05:36 pm
I suspect it is in the shock?  The bikes are identical, aren't they? (except for the cool graphics)

With my Fox RC, what is the end travel that I have now. 5?

someone can proly dig up a link...but alas im not 'net savy enuf... ;)

if its a 2.3" stroke i beleive it works out to 6.5"s of travel...

might be wrong its been awhile since i had my proflex.. :'(

Thanks IFO!

I saw that chart too but was too lazy to figure it all out.  I have the 7 7/8" i2i so if anyone out there has figured it out, I'd appreciate it.

If you want an easy way to figure it out, without being too anal about exact decimals... Just multiply stroke length by 2.7 to get rear travel. It's close enough (within .1 or .2 inches I think) for all practical purposes.

Wow!!!  That is a lot of travel now.

I rode my bike for the first time today and it felt really plush and much more compliant.  Didn't realize it was going to make such a difference.
