Title: The old rear shock...it died!!!!
Post by: proflexryder on August 12, 2005, 04:22:43 pm
OK guys, I've never needed to post yet so here goes....

My rear shock on the 1996 756 died last night. I have a fox vanilla spring on it now and it has worked fine for the last 2 years of riding but I killed the preload adjuster threads and the whole thing is flopping all over. I either need to turn the frame and rear triangle into a 4 point type by modificaton/welding some brackets/eyelets etc, find a riesse shock somewhere (not likely) or (gulp!) buy another frame that can accept an eyelet/eyelet shock! I've had the 756 since 99 and love it but it might be cutains if i don't come up with something. HELP!!!!

email me at proflexryder@yahoo.com with any ideas to keep this thing on the trails.

Gordy - welcome to the club! Sorry to hear/read about your woes. Several of us have gone through the same thing, either by means of necessity or simply desire for something else. Take a look through the Galleries here (on the left toolbar) and see what other's have done. Plenty of differing solutions. Simon, Will and myself are only a few that have gone with something else and had success in doing so.

Check it out and be inspired. [smiley=nod.gif]

Good luck with it. ;)
