Looks like decent quality. Kind of pricey though. $40 for two of them? Ouch. I would have hoped for half that.

Hi OP,

there is a company in the UK - www.betd.co.uk or .com which I have used for hangers and shock bushes.

Prices are very reasonable. If they won't deal with you direct in the USA let me know and I can sort it out for you.

Best regards,

Sprucey

thanks sprucey

i looked at the betd site and they were quite a bit more expensive.  i'll just have to pull out the plastic and pick up the phone.

appreciate you're guys' help

i've always told my stepson:

"keep the rubber side down and keep it all in one piece, and if you can't do that, bring back all the pieces."

well, he left the derrailleur (xt) with the other half of the hanger back up on the hill somewhere but remembered to wrap the chain around the bike and hoof it out.  at least he saved the chain.

Yikes! He didn't even bring home the derailleur? Too bad. Is it too late to go for a ride and look for it?

What about direct ??? There's a "sticky" at the top of the message boards

That link didn't go straight through the first time I tried it (but now it does...)

They're on backorder until 8/22/05, but only cost $12 each. Much better price if you can wait.

If that link doesn't work, try this one:

hey Matno,
thanks for the link - never knew that place even existed! only one prob though - they don't ship internationally   [smiley=disbelief.gif] i actually came a cropper on the road last week [tram lines] and bent the hanger, thankfully my buddy at the bike shop has straightened it for me - but i'd like to get a spare [somehow] any suggestions?

Did you check the link Sprucey listed? It's in the UK and would probably ship to you. Way too expensive though...

Wish I had a machine shop. I'd just make my own! Someday...
