Title: My 96 656

Anyone have any suggestions on how to convert the rear shock? the elasotomers just are not working. Thanks for any help.

See the other recent post 'replacement shock for 856'.  This may also have the answer for your shock replacement.

sorry the 656 is different than the 756 856 956 beast and animal which use the "world cup type frame".There is no off the shelf fix for a 656 apart from new elastomers which are available from k2

Kiwi, you mean to tell us that K2 stocks 1996 parts still?  That's good news.  I thought they were low or out of parts on Girvin forks and some Noleen shocks...

I emailed K2 last week about parts for my 955. They said the elastomers are available for about $9 I think it was.

I will post the reply I received later. The K2 website says they have most parts and they returned my email the same day.

yep i mean it.They are out of x56 struts and apparently the early noleen shocks(or maybe grivin shocks had a 8 mm shaft ad they dont have seals etc for them.You may be pleasantly surprised.
