Cool! I'm going to be in Northern Idaho this weekend in an area where there are TONS of Osprey. Always fun to see them hit the water and come up with fish...

Thanks Guys!!!! Eagles are awesome hey? Can't wait to see that 957 Terry!
Matno - Osprey are wild hey? Nothing hunts quite as cool as a Osprey!

I was wondering if that message went through. And so it did. I never knew what an Osprey was until I checked out the BBC website. It is unfortunate that I learn of them via internet link. It is also, ironic that nature is only a few steps out my door and all I have to tell of it is that it's uncomfortably hot. If perception ever served me well I bet even the wonderful natural world of suberbia is teaming with interesting life.
The picture is beautiful and may I add "paradoxic" with the perch looking so much like an electrical wire post.

Hey Alex! Thanks man! That is a electric pole...the nest is made on top of it. Ontario Hydro is quite good at helping Osprey like this....really nice!
I got more pics here

Now I am confused. Is that really what they nest on. I only mentioned it because it looked as if there was a hydropol standing in the middle of the wilderness. An odd site for a hydropol to be.
Quite well done. Now I have to go to the library to "Verify" the nessting habitat of the southeast Osprey of North America.
