Title: Which Fox fork???
Post by: Carbon_Kiwi on May 10, 2005, 12:33:28 pm
hey there,
i'm looking at up-grading my suspension, have pretty much decided i'll go with Fox for the fork, so...
which one would you recommend based on the following.
main riding = xc/all mountain [no freeriding/dh].
looking at a swinger 3 way air for the rear, which equates to 130mm travel [?] if so i guess i'd be best to go for something with similar travel up front?
weight is a factor, i'd like something lighter [if poss] than my current duke xc's - which surely won't be hard.

Carbon,

for what its worth, I LOVE my talasR. although, if you get a Talas RLC you can set the lock out threshold so it behaves something like an SPV fork, or so I have read.

the new talas goes up to 130mm travel I think. mine goes up to 125 mm.

the talas is good because you can change the travel for different conditions, although I must say I find this not that easy to do on the fly.

as jetman said, read all the reviews on mtbr.com, but i recommend the talas.
