Title: Buffing up that Carbon - What's your secret?

I'd like your suggestions on what you consider the best (for shine) and longest lasting (besides a laquer respray).

Oz-Sub,
Pedro's Bike Lust works awesomely, and not just on carbon.
Not only does it make the carbon shine, but it also helps to repel mud and dirt. It really keeps the bike clean.
try it, you'll like it!

Dennis

Thanks.  I'm now on the hunt for a bike shop in the UK that sells Pedro's stuff.  I know they used to sell Pedro's over here, because I have some Pedro's Syn Lube and a pot of their red grease.

Kiwi,

Windex is a brand of blue glass cleaner, with some patented cleaning agent called "Ammonia-D."  ;)

Just kidding. It's regular glass cleaner, the blue-colored stuff. Windex is a brand sold in the US.

sorry bud -

yeah, "Windex" is a type of, but one can use, any spray glass cleaner that you can buy in a grocery store.

"Pledge" is a brand of furniture polish containing a light wax - it sprays on and wipes off and leaves a light film of wax to helps protect a finish.  I'm certain any type will work - it's cheap and easy to obtain.

i prefer the lemon scented version

 8) The pledge & windex works very well. I have also used a aluminum polish on the frame to shine it up and Mothers polish is the best!  ;)
