I noticed when I took my Evo pivot apart that it is not easy to reassemble due to the tight fit of the swingarm on the main frame. As I should be receiving my pivot kit any day now I will appreciate any tips. I remember some posts about devices for spreading the swingarm, but I didn't pay much attention at the time!

Checkout the posting (Quad rings no problem) in the files section this should help there are still some pic's of how I do this procedure in my gallery (Simon),thats the best way I've found of doing that overhaul though others may of since come up with something better.

thanks Simon, I didnt check the post yet but the pics in your gallery explain it well, what size bolt did you use? Presumably the procedure is the same for the alum swingarm.
I love the sealed bearing design, much better than the K2/Proflex original, did you machine it yourself or have it made ?

I used M12X35 bolt and 2 penny washers,
all you need to know is in the how to's file (quad rings no problem)
haven't tried it out on a AL s/arm yet as I converted my AL s/arm to sealed bearings,I'd be interested to know if it works though ???,can't see why not
As for the sealed bearing conversion I did all the drawings (all on file in the how to's) and sourced all the required parts,I did have a precision engineer make the axle for me, as its a simple design it was very cheap to manufacture, amazing how difficult it was to actually come up with the completed design, I had always wanted to do this but coming up with this idea was harder than I thought, went through many designs and measurements, still working a treat though and have also modified 2 others and will be doing my son's soon.
