I have a PMI-1 that the jam nut threads are pretty much stripped out. I want to remove that part and replace with a new style cartridge valve. If anyone here has done or know of some post somewhere to show how to do it, I would greatly appreciate it.

IIRC from Big Matt and Punisher it was a PITA to do.

As in not worth the effort PITA.

but if your like me, then you have to ask your wife for your nuts from her purse, right next to the checkbook.....

I was able to resurrect the PMI-1 as the jam nut just needed a little love. It shoots fantastic now.
