Not to long ago I bought a Razorback "Boar" on MCB for a decent price. I am curious what if any Phantom parts will work. It works just fine minus the part where I painted the bolt shut. (Yeah me and AT are a baaad combo)

Mostly curious if a Phantom bolt that is adjustable would work. As it currently sits I either have to get lucky and be shooting close to the legal limit or I have to throw a reg on it and dial it back. I know its a Nelsonderivitive so I am pretty sure a Phantom Spring kit would work. Am I correct in that assumption?

Yes all Nelson guns used the same standard size springs.

Cool what about the Bolt though? Would the internals be compatible with say a fixed barrel Phantom?

The springs will work, no problem.

The rest of the internals will probably work fine too, but are designed to work with each other. So if you replace the bolt, you should probably replace it all including the power tube.

That said, there is a good chance that you trigger will not trip the sear properly, so you would need to take the sear off of the Razzorback hammer and use it on the Phantom hammer. You just need a small punch to drive the roll pins out and back in that hinge the sear to the hammers.

Sounds to me that you really only need a good tune up and new springs, main and valve, would get it to shoot as good as new. The adjustable TPC on the Phantom is a really nice feature to have though. Smiley

Yikes!  No!  A Phantom bolt will not work!  The Phantom is a breech drop and the Razorback is a bore drop.

If that's right, then the bolt that you have is about twice as long as the one in the picture above. Thejayare is right, the Phantom bolt won't work.

In that case you might want to try these...  TASO adjustable bolt/hammer sets from Air Soldier

They might work, but you will still need to use your sear. Email Haveblue at Air Aoldier, he might know if it would work, and would be happy to help.

Thanks Guys.

It really is in great condition I may just hang it up on the wall and grab a phantom when I have the spare cash. =)

That seems, to me, a bad idea.  That thing is meant to be played with.

I can tell you what WON"T work is a Diablo bolt. Maybe if I would have switched all the parts? The bolt alone didn't work out so hot. I ended up just respringing it and it hovers between 260 and 280 with a new Nelson spring kit bought from Wevo.

I may try switching everything when I get home again. Good luck with yours, they are good shooters.

Thanks for all the responses. I figure Ill just leave it alone and pick up a Phantom. That way I can still play with it on occasion or Loan it to a friend. Besides When I pick up a Phantom Ill then have 3 pumps to bring with me to SPE =)

SPE is prolly the Only paintball event I will be able to afford to hit this year so the more Pumps I bring the better.

Besides when I have a Phantom to compare to the Razorback I could have fun on the Lathe and Mill making my own little additions/gun.
