I mean,

Chef Boyardee is so good after he cooks it!

Cooks use what is at hand to make a meal, they are capable of improvisation.

I was once told that a cook learned his/her trade in a kitchen and a chef learned it in a classroom, IIRC this was said in the presance of a guy that was fresh out of NECI by someone that wanted to get under his skin.
