"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?"

OK, got a standard Phantom to look at for a friend. He said it wont cock or fire even with air. So, I took it home, took it all apart and cleaned it up. It has the Wevo UC kit on it too. Well, I know my way around Phantoms pretty well, so When I got it back together, It will cock, but you have to wiggle the trigger a bit in order to engage the sear for it to actually fire. I have never had this type of issue before with a phantom, and was wondering if the trigger will have to be replaced, or is it just the sear on the hammer?
Any assistance on this would be great. I was going to Call Mike on Monday to see what he would say. Not sure if its with the Wevo kit or not, as I don't have another phantom to test with.
Thanks again guys.

Try loosing up the back thumbscrew. Sometimes valve has to much pressure put on it and it might be in a bind. I have had a few phantoms do that to me and that was the problem. Or if it doesnt feel on a bind try to tighten the thumbscrew.

Let me know if that helps ya.

That might have something to do with it.

It sounds like "for some reason" the sear isn't returning down into the slot of the body after being fired, or is not able to move freely.
* Could be a weak or missing sear spring.
* Dirt or a burr on the hammer around the sear roll pin (the hinge pin) that is affecting the return of the sear.
* The sear spur not freely through the body slot for some reason (like Twinky was suggesting)

Sounds like something is obstruction the sear from returning into position, and it's minor enough that you can get it to drop by bumping it with the trigger.

I did take the trigger loose enough to check for anything on to, but I did not remove the roll pin to remove the trigger spring. The spring does have a "clink" to it, but you have to listen close for it. I think it may need just a new trigger spring.
Whose got one and how much?
Oh, I do feel this needs a shoe, but its not mine so......
