SO, I posted a while ago about an autococker body i had purchased for a project, and i asked everyone's opinion.

WELL... I got most of the parts for it the other day, so i thought I'd throw up a picture and try to spark some discussion.

I also have a MINI whitewolf deluxe pump kit, but i can't put in on there because the body is not mini'd yet.  I'm thinking the back-block will be a ccm (very minimalist i think).

The reg will probably be a ccm, but maybe a cp (or something else).
Not sure what kid of on-off i wanna get, or if i should just get an asa, or if i'm going to want a bit of a drop forward on it... probably
The barrel is a bit up in the air as well, but I think it'll be a dye ul, a lapco, or a freak.

I'm a bit worried about the SC feed, because it may look awkward with the gap between it and the body in the front caused by the body's shape.  I guess i'll have to have it altered to flow somehow...

If you can get the top of the body milled so that the feed sits flush (maybe at the same time as you get it mini'd), I think it will look really sharp.  I agree that a gap between the feed and the body kills it if you are concerned about looks.

well, the feedneck will be milled off, but the fins int he back and the area around the feedneck i was thinking of keeping since they are a big part of the look of this body... i just think the feed extends forward too much...

I agree.  If you set it up so the feed sits on or near the fins in the back then the front should end just beyond where the ball stops in the feed.  It shouldn't be a straight line either.  Maybe something that works in with the milling in the body on either side of the feed.  Where it comes up the body of the feedtube meets it and continues upward maybe making it look like a big fin to match the small ones in the back.

I'd just mill the top of the body flush.  The feed will look awkward sitting on top of the fins IMHO.

If you're going to mill the fins off, what was the point of getting that body?

Mill the body flush , loose the fins.

What exactly is the point of a reg on a SC gun, is is a colossal waste it will never be efficient. You will be luck to get 20 shots off a 12g. Get the chamber devoulumized use an old stock valve and tune it for 12gs.

thats what i'm thinking...

And i never really use 12 grams anymore, i prefer a tank with a SC feed.
