I recently acquired my first phantom and when I shot it the fps was about 220. I have since looked into springs for the phantom and have done some research into what springs are aviliable. I have deduced you can get the kit (3 colored springs and one valve) and also the maddman kit (which I have about 3 kits of and various springs from 20 years of playing and owning pumps etc.) Before I set down and try every darn spring in my collection I was curious to see what spring sets people are using in there markers. I am specifically going to use a regulator with a 3.5oz co2 bottle, so I would be interested in what pressure you are running at. My local fields have the limit at 285fps so that is the fps goal. Thanks in advance for your input.

I use the stock CCI springs in all of my Phantoms. It has always been assumed that this was the same as the green spring set. I also find that 3 turns of the TPC will result in the 280-285 range in 80 degree temps. If you are going to use a regulator, you should get even more consistent results.  You shouldn't have to mess with the TPC or springs ever again to chono, just adjust the operating pressure from with the regulator.

I love regulators. They make it so easy to chrono and the gas is always measured the sane each shot. IF you're lucky enough to get good pain, it can make for an incredible day of paintball.

I run mine at about 650 psi, but $20 dollar gauges are more for looks than for taking accurate readings.
