Hey Guys I am looking into buying a bipod for my phantom as more of a "sniper" role/look. What i don't know is if putting a bipod on a paintball marker
in general would be helpful at all. I'm looking into a NcStar UNIVERSAL BIPOD which just goes right on the barrel.
So any feedback on past experience using a bipod on any paintball marker (pump or semi) would be helpful.

Thanks.

Generally you don't have enough time to use a bipod in a pump game>

Yep, it's gonna look good.  That's where it stops being good however.  I totally agree with Ray.  You'll never have the time to use it.  If your playing in a wooded field, it'll get snagged on every little leaf and strand of grass.  As for the "sniper" role.  That's a topic that's been beat'n to a pulp.  You really can't be a sniper in a paintball game.  You just can't.  You can be a hide and ambush sort of guy, but not a sniper.

Thanks for the input and i can see how a bipod isn't that useful in paintball.

The whole paintball "sniper" role, i believe is based on each owns definition of what a sniper is. According to a search it seams that the definition of sniper is one who shoots from a concealed location.
Which is a lot of us during a woods ball game. I do believe one can be a sniper in paintball as long as there shooting from a concealed location, and follow the concept of one shot one kill.

I've used by pods on paint ball guns and for me that just get in the way

paint ball guns don't way enough to need a by pod

And bypods on pump guns make it next to imposible to pump ur gun

ive tried it its ok. the only thing i think its nice for is if you happen to be laying down and your pump arm is supporting the front of the marker and obviously your opposite arm is your trigger hand. its kinda uncomfortable to pump your phantom while also supporting your marker at the same time. kinda digs into your elbow. the only real benefit of a bipod on a pump is that your hand is free to work the pump comfortably while the marker is supported. other than that yeah it totally gets in the way . plus i rarely lay down even when ambushing in the woods i typically just take a knee. my thoughts are that if you get caught the time it take you to get to your feet from a prone position is very possibly gonna get you shot. where the time it takes to get to your feet from a kneel is nothing at all. also because we dont have ris rails as pumpers you gotta get that annoying adapter thing that clamps to the barrel which is lame and it makes the clearance for the bipod way to high. and what if you have to take your barrel off to clean it for some reason now you have to deal with this obstruction stuck on your barrel. well thats my thoughts anyways
