Hey gang.  I love my stock barrel, but its a little short.   Grin  I would really like to get myself a deadlywind, but the back of the barrel has that plastic that will hit the actual pump handle.  I've heard that Colin makes them specific for the phantom, but I would prefer not to buy an undercocking kit and I havent really been able to find much info about them.

My thoughts were to modify the pump handle(perhaps make the hole a little bigger in the back to accomodate the plastic) so that it would fit around that plastic, or perhaps cut a section out of the pump handle to help with this.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge as far as any of this goes?

Any and all information would be most appreciated.  Smiley

Well the issue with the pump handles and the DW barrels is not that they are to tight, it is that there is to much play (ie: the DW has a smaller diameter than the stock barrel) so the pump handle can rock a little bit... I've used one without an issue, but it will eventually cause wear on the outside of the barrel (fraying).

The deadlywind you used, did it have a plastic base on it?  Or did you have one that was phantom specific?  Im not worried about a little wear and tear, but how long do you figure before it compromises the integrity of the barrel?
