Just a slight info FYI on the APP 50 rd Tactical pods... They don't empty as fast as a traditional pod. There's a lip on the inside rim, and since the mouth is kinda narrow, they can jam at exit.
Just thought I'd share. But I do like how compact they are.
I can fit these in my pockets, and they stay shut, no matter how stupid I get.

I noticed that too. Reall easy to remove with a dremel armed with a sanding drum bit.

Looks great. Functions horrible. As I feared, the balls don't feed worth beans with flat side down. Two balls roll together and neither one falls.

I'm not sure which way to go right now. If I build it up on the inside with epoxy, then it won't hold 30 paintballs, and I'm not sure if turning it over is going to feed any better.

Getting balls to flow without any stack or space is a good trick. But it does look cool!

Not much yet. I've cut the hole in the bottom flat side, and I traced out a CCI ball retainer for the stock feed tube on the rubber cap and cut it out. That makes it possible to reload the hopper/pod with standard 10 round tubes.

The mount is a Weaver #410 sight rail but.......

I need to solve the issue with the balls feeding better before I go much further with mounting it. I have a couple of options. The one I like right now is to use the rail clamps from a cheap Daisy red dot I took apart. That would stack one ball over the bolt. About 2/3 of the ball would be visible, but not able to fall out on the ground. I think that might be handy to be able to see the next ball is ready over the bolt. It might also help it hold 30 balls even with something inside to direct single paintballs to the hole.

I've got some extra HiViz light pipes I want to attach on the peak of the pod where the "buttons" are just for giggles, but that's the last of my problems right now.

It's already more complicated than I wanted it to be and if it doesn't feed well...........what's the point? I'm going to try some different shapes to get a single ball to feed by pressing tin foil inside around the hole I cut. If I get something to work, I'll hit it inside with a wire brush and put epoxy putty in place of the foil.

It's been fun. My desk is once again covered with tools and hardware! It's been harder than I thought it was going to be, but after I work out the bugs, I think anyone will be able to make one pretty easily.

I don't know where my post disappeared to but here is the picture I had linked to it.

This would be one of the old ammo box design hoppers with the mouth widened to the winchester flip top dimensions and mounted low over a right feed Phanom body, It was just my suggested version of a good idea.

Hey Terry did yu ever figure out how to make a hopper out of those Tac-Pods?  I need to know so I can order some from Titus. Also Darthmoo1 did yu ever test your hopper out in the field?
