im trying to picture it on a gun in my head and cant help but to think that the 30* is going to look... out of place / odd

i like the looks of the loader but would rather see it aliened with the body of the phantom kind of like a large bullet or grenade siting on top but thats just my preference... it would also allow the use of an optic rail on top witch i don't see being an option currently... but i do see how the 30* offset will make for easier loading

i have bin thinking about how i would make a larger loader for the phantom my self (although i don't have the skills nor the tools to do so  Cry ) my idea came from seeing "TAC-PODs"

and i thought about making a triangle feed to slide them in to like u would with 10 round tubes in a stock phantom feed

or perhaps make a triangle feed and tube (or one a peace feed) that was shaped similarly (2 balls on the bottom and one ball above) with a feed in the back shaped to accommodate both "TAC-PODs" and 10 ball tubes

don't mean to hijack or derail your post but u did ask for thoughts

Why not a feed block that is the same shape as the lid on those Tac-Pods.

Have a slight ramp the length of the pods with a "clip" type spring that would snap over the rear of the pod. Even no ramp or angle would be fine by me. Rock and cock would work for me.

The front screws into the same place the a stock class feed block does. The rear screws into the sight rail holes already in the valve body.

To change pods you simply lift up the rear of the pod, remove the empty, snap a full one in place.

Can you picture it? Simple, uses stock holes already on a Phantom, and the pods themselves are the hopper. Lays horizontal on top of the gun.

Thumbs up on your pod-pack making abilities. On a side note: Anyone know the exact dimensions of the Tac-Pod? Sorry for the thread-jacking Cry

Great idea. And would look good on a Phantom also.

I think I'll order some of the Tac-pods. My guess is that they are going to feed the best if it is mounted with the corner of the triangle down, and allowed to have a little space for balls to flow into the feed block. That could take a little experimentation to get that right without a lot of ball jambs in the feed.

I want come up with something that is dirt simple and could use stock Phantom parts for most of it. Like a stock class feed block and a CCI sight rail.

Yeah, I like the Tac-pod idea - may have to ponder mating one to the Tac Blockhead, as the angular look would fit really well.

Got to admit, good concept. Too bad on cheap shooter. We should have a saber tourney, 3 man, all you get is the saber. Would be fun as hell.

The production version will not have tool marks all over it.  While trying to keep the loader a reasonable size, the capacity was reduced to 40 rounds.

Production parts will be available very shortly.

Showing the loader captive around the receiver with the marker upside down.
