Does any one one know what is the exact alloy for cocker bodies?
I want to tap eye holes with aluminium screws and these are 7075 alloy.
Would it anno same as cocker body? (60XX?)
I don't think I can find a welder skilled enough to weld these for me, and I'm dremel and tap skilled enough to do it myself.

Should be 6061-T6 on cocker bodies.  Only Smart Parts likes to run the 'butter soft' alloys.

7075 will not anno the same as 6061, but a skilled shop may be able to get pretty close.  Welded areas will look a bit 'off' as well.

Powdercoat should stick just fine to JB Weld - I think JB Weld has a temp. limit of 600F, but you're well below that for curing powdercoat.

Sorry but nope. Powder coating will not cover JB weld. I tried already.  I tried to add aluminum shaving to it also. No luck there.

Just drill it out for a second ball detent ??
