So last week I was filling a 13ci tank topped with a Myth reg that I bought from Wevo in December; all of a sudden, just after disconnecting the fill hose, the tank began to drain all of its air through the fill nipple.  I thought I just needed a new fill nipple, and so I replaced it with a Ninja one, but when I went to fill it yesterday, the same thing happened.  The o-ring on the first one still looked perfect so I wasn't all that surprised.

Anyone know what's going on with the tank?  I've disassembled the reg itself and everything looks fine, which I expected as this problem seems to be upstream of the actual regulator anyhow.  For some reason, it looks as though the valve in the fill nipple no longer wants to slide forward and close after being filled, and is instead held open, allowing the tank's air to vent.  Thoughts?  Huh?

A bit more info: I used blue Loctite on the fill nipple threads, but always waited 24+ hrs for the Loctite to cure before trying to fill the tank.  This particular tank has been fine for 15+ fills, and just suddenly gave me this issue last week.  I tried filling it using multiple fill stations at the field, and at a separate PB shop, with the same result.  The one thing I haven't tried is unscrewing the reg from the tank; I don't have the tools or the courage to attempt that Wink

I have no idea. My issues with myth reg were related to the small brass chips stuck in the tiny oring at the end of the piston. Got a spare one from GA and everything worked perfectly but before that the reg busted my G3 with 1000psi+ output.
Try lubing the fill nipple orings (REMEMBER-NO OIL! I use SP sl33k-which was recommended by GA themselves).
Oh, and the customer support at GA is very good - email/call them.

This can happen, if the fillnipple is not screwed in far enough. Not sure in your case though . .

Hm, it might be that, but I usually tighten them down pretty far (almost until I'm afraid of stripping the nut).  Still if that's the case, it's odd that it just started happening last week (unless dirt or whatnot finally built enough friction in the nipple/piston to prevent it from moving forward again).  I'll call GA today and see if they have a fix for it.  It's my backup tank so I don't mind sending it in.
