Hello,

I am going to set my phantom up for open class, and was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between the lengths of the 22 inch and 13 inch tanks? How close is either one to a normal 9 0z CO2 tank? Also, anybody have an estimate for shot count for 3000 PSI with a good paint match? Last, does anyone here know where I could get the tank without the reg? I have an old smart parts max flow I would love to set up with one of these tanks. Thanks for all your help.

I sell the tanks with or without regs. Check out my site www.pbpumpshop.com there listed on there.

I would suggest getting a 13, they arent as long as a 22 which IMO the 22 is to long. You can always slap a butt plate on them

22ci are nice if you have an inline maxflo or dynaflow reg. I've even seen setups with a myth reg and flush unimount that were an ok length.

the 22's are way to long, but if you had a drop forward you could talor it to your needs .If I am right I think going with a 45/45 for any kind of open class would be better.

a 45/45 on a phantom is just too big.  esthetically, and functionally.  big, heavy and more air than you'd ever need in a day's play.  the 13ci is enough for hopperball.....even if you have a 300 round hopper perched on your phantom

i do agree that the 22's are looooong though.  just not elegant.

to sum it up, i've got a 9oz and it's ideal on the bottomline of a phantom as far as length.  if you feel the need to go to HPA, for whatever reason, the 13ci is about as close to that feel as you can get.

I really like the 22's. I have a mini drop which makes it just the perfect length.
Although I'm going to run a new 13myth vertically on my SC phantom and keep the 22 on my open class.

My 45/45 w/ a Crossfire reg is about 11" long.  I got a new Ninja 13cf that is a little shorter ~10.5".  I use a drop to extend the length as I have a tendency to "drop" my face in behind the body and w/out the drop I smack my mask.

Old set up w/ a 45/45

Fill up once and never have to worry about air for the rest of the day (or month).

New setup w/ a 13/30

Better balance and lighter.   I haven't had a chance to see how many shots I can get out of it yet.

Playing w/ the old setup

I have one of each, and i run hawaiian style with an agd flatline reg. The 22 comes almost even with the tip of my barrel. Imho, the 13 balances better, but i use the 22 is what i use during longer scenario games. It's also what i'd put on the ditto deuce when i can afford to have it built.

13s are too short and 22s are too long! It sucks that there isn't a happy medium.

When I use 13ci tanks, I make sure to use a long reg like an old crossfire, plus the longest duckbill I can find. I love the XSV profile ASA.

With 22ci tanks, I love the feel with a Dynaflow or inline maxflo tank reg. They shorten the tank up significantly.

I use a 13/3000 with GA Myth, and the New Designz ASA Extension kit to get the length of pull to around 14.5".  Still works with my on/off ASA because I've modified the extension with a nail that runs through its length, depressing the regulator pin when I use the on/off.

Custom Products.  A little pricey as far as ASAs go (~$45) but it's direct mount and it hasn't failed so far Smiley
