hey guys,

Im looking to get a phantom that if needed could run on both a 12oz bottle and the 12 grams,

if i were to get the,

SC Black Removable Rear Changer Phantom Pistol in stock!
Black removable rear changer stock class Phantom pistol with 6" barrel, 45 frame and matching trigger shoe = $214.98

from wevo of course,

how many shots would I be getting on a 12g,

and running with a stiffi,

this would be a hell of a set up right ??

and very light Huh?

but also, when you unscrew the rear changer,
and the previous 12 g inside exahusts its gas....

what happens Huh?

- sorry im a noob to this stuff  Embarrassed -

many thanks,

Have you owened other pump guns yet? Difference vary from brand to brand. Nelsons are tend to have a slite egde on Sheridans as far as efficiency goes. So most SC players like Nelsons. Modern day Sheridans like Snipers often get the nod for user friendlyness though.

shots from a 12 gram, will vary from temp and climate, with that setup you could probably get a good 30 usable shots.

Stiffi are light, and that is a very tight package.  But one thing that can effect how a marker feels in your hands will be the balance.  Everyone, and their arms, are different.  A back bottle may feel better or worse than a rear 12 gram.  A light barrel may feel better or worse.  How you like to hold it can depend. Like a pistol? Shouldered? etc

what happens when you take out a 12 gram? the gas escapes from the valve.  You could install a check valve to keep one shot's worth of gas in, and there are good how to's on this site, but also as a warning a check valve could decrease the auto-trigger rate.  That's going to depend on your style again.

ah ok...

so without a check valve...

and i roughly counted when i had reloaded 2 10 round tubes and used the 10 in the horizontal shot...

I know i need to reload soon,

but when the gas escapes from the valve... Huh?

nothing else really happens...

I just take my next 12gram and install it Huh?

many thanks,
clifford

well you hope nothing happens, if anyone recognizes the sound of a changing 12 gram you better get the next one in quick

practice changing then out with spent 12 grams so you can do it without thinking about it and then you can keep an eye on the field

Just to give you a point of reference, Vancouver weather is lot like that of UK, cool and wet, average temperature in the winter is about a single digit, a brand new Phantom out of a box should yield about low 30's off a single 12 gram, but I found that you can't rely on counting to your shot, because you don't want to get caught running out of gas at the wrong moment.

Always leave yourself some breathing room of 5 shots or so, change it when there is a lull during the game.

You can depend on 30 good shots nearly all the time. More if you wait for the 12'r to warm up some between shots

and running with a stiffi,

They are light weight, but shot count always depends the most on how well the paint fits the barrel. There are other factors, but they are less important as long as the barrel is more then 6" and less than 14". Shot count will suffer if your barrel length is outside of those parameters.

this would be a hell of a set up right ??
Great setup to start with. You can alway add later.

This is normal.
