Next week should be a big work week and
should be able to release the entire gun to the playing public. Until then here are two more sneak peaks.
Here are two pictures from the CAD drawing of the feed gate. The feed gate has your traditional sock holder style piece for a ball retainer. However, if you look in the picture you will see milling around the body. Look closer and you will see that at the bottom of the piece the milling cuts through the body entirely.
This is for when you lose the ball retainer or it becomes unusable. And of course I will use it just because it is cool. So if the above should happen, all one needs to do is keep a small rubber band handy. Wrap the rubber band around the body of the feed gate keeping the band inside the milled ring. The rubber band will go over the top portion of the feed gate but ride inside the slotted portion at the bottom making it go across the open hole.
This will allow feeding without an issue and prevent roll outs at the same time.
